Adjusting Ableton's tempo with Nome II

Hi! I've got my setup working with hardware perfectly in sync to the Nome II and Ableton through U-SYNC, but at the moment I can only adjust the master tempo inside Ableton (and the Nome II + hardware will follow). Is there any way to adjust the tempo with the Nome II and let Ableton move along?

Yes there is

The other way (Nome to Ableton) is done via a Control Surface.

Please follow the steps in the U-SYNC Quick Start Guide section 2.2.
(I would also recommend to go through the whole guide to make sure you have set everything else correctly).

Hi, yes I did that already but it still only works one way (Ableton->Nome II). The attachment shows how it's setup.

In your screenshot you did not select the Control Surface (None instead of Nome)

I can see how this can be confusing. We'll change the name in the future and I'll add a mention of this in the manuals

Hi, Nome actually isn't available in the list of control surfaces... But my Behringer Deepmind for instance works perfectly like this, even though it isn't available in the pre-listed control surfaces as well.

Well for Nome, you need to select Nome as a control surface
If it's not in the list it's an installation issue. Try running the U-SYNC installer again, and make sure to check the "Ableton integration" checkbox.

Ah yes that re-install solved the issue, thanks! Just so you know: I'm absolutely sure the Ableton Integration was checked with the first install as well.

I think the issue is that with recent versions of Ableton, when Ableton auto-updates, it creates a new ".app" file and does not copy the content of the previous one, so any script that were installed there (like the Nome's) have to be reinstalled.

Unfortunately the only way to solve this is to make the Nome's script an official part of Ableton... so in about 10 to 20 years we'll be there
