Hi I hope some one can help,
I have tried to install u sync on my Macbook pro but whatever I try it will not connect, I have checked audio midi setup and there's nothing on there to show anything is connected.
I have removed and installed 3 times, I even tried on another MacBook still says no device connected. I can't see any permissions blocking me from running it.
Tahoe OS system- it's really frustrating it looked so easy on the advert! I have tried usb c cables usb c to A converter for my old MacBook still same thing, there's power to it so why can't it see the midi?
No idea how to get it working as I'm not sure anything else I can try?
thanks
PS firmware won't update because there's no nome connected!

Re: U sync can't find NOME
Hey Paul,
From what you describe, the main issue is that Nome doesn’t appear in Audio MIDI Setup at all. That’s the key part, U-SYNC won’t work until the Mac actually sees the device.
Since you already tried multiple cables and Macs, a couple of things to double-check:
• Make sure you’re using a data USB cable (not power-only), ideally the one provided with Nome
• Try connecting directly to the Mac (no hub/adapter if possible)
• Open Audio MIDI Setup → Window → Show MIDI Studio and check if anything appears when plugging/unplugging
If it still doesn’t show up there on two different Macs, then it could be on the device side.
In that case, best is to send us an email at support@simntonic.com and we’ll take a closer look and get this sorted for you right away.
